The Market Shopping Centre Puts Charity At The Heart Of The Centre

The Market Shopping Centre is launching a charity foundation that aims to support fundraising for local not-for-profit organisations.

Last year the centre, which attracts more than 450,000 shoppers each month, helped raise thousands of pounds for local groups by giving free space on the mall for fundraising activities. Now the centre is hoping that by raising awareness of its desire to work with charities, more groups will get in touch.

Glenn Davies of The Market, explained: "We already have excellent relationships with some great local charities and have seen first-hand the benefits they get from being on the mall - both financially and in awareness." Glenn adds: "However, we are aware that there are some other groups out there who we don't work with and we want to hear from them, especially if they have a particular campaign or event they are keen to promote over the coming 12 months."

As an integral part of the town centre, The Market Shopping Centre can really support the community - and this is one way to help. We have allocated £1,000 worth of free mall space for 2010 and set a target to help raise £3,000 for local causes during the coming year.

If you run a charity or work for a not-for-profit organisation - that could be a school or any community action group - and you've got a great fund raising campaign running in 2010, we'd like to hear from you. Simply complete the forms below and send them back to us, or contact us with the following information:

WHY WE SHOULD HELP: as much as we'd like to, we can't promise to help everyone. The submissions will be reviewed and chosen based on availability, space and at the discretion of the Centre Management. The best submissions will be those that really understand the benefit of using our shopping centre as a platform for fund raising and awareness.

Once received, a member of our team will be in touch to check through your details. Thank you.
