A New year, A New You!

We’ve all made New Year’s resolutions and it’s no surprise that many of them involve being a little bit healthier.

Twitter has been a buzz over the past couple weeks with celebrities vowing to work harder and be healthier this year too – Maroon 5’s Adam Levine plans to “take more hikes”, whilst One Direction's Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson all plan to hit the gym in 2012.

Well we’ve got a little New Year secret to share with you – feeling good and looking good go hand in hand! If you feel good in what you are wearing, we promise it’ll show on the outside.

As the sales comes to an end, we’re beginning to see the trends for Spring hit the shops and boy are they feel good!

This Spring is all about colour. The catwalks were bursting with cheerful ice cream shades. This look achieves an effortless low-key, ladylike vibe, harking back to the Jackie O days. The pastel colours need not only apply to your clothing - why not experiment this year with pastel lipsticks!

Primary colours are also an option! We saw this trend kick off towards the end of 2011, so we’re sure you’ve already got some items in those wardrobes you can update for 2012. Add more colour by accessorising with a bright pair of tights or block coloured belt, and we suggest you stick to three colours, no more, no less!

We have also seen bright, bold and beautiful patterns on the runway, and this trend includes everything from oversized florals, mirror like geometric shapes to animal and boho Aztec prints! Don’t be afraid to mix them up either, the brighter the better!

Finally, there’s no avoiding orange this Spring! You’ll see plenty of tangerine in the shops, but don’t panic if that isn’t your citrus of choice, there are plenty more orange hues to choose from. Make sure you wear one colour and look you’ll look chic and on trend!
